Water leak

Featured Replies

I have a 2012 Focus Estate. If it rains really hard then water gets into the boot. This only occurs after heavy rain and when the car is stationary. To be honest it might occur if driving as well but not been in that position. The garage has removed the roof bars and re sealed them as well as a new seal on the boot hinge but it still comes in. It is now appearing by the tie down bracket by the back of the car. Any suggestions as to where it is coming in from?

The air vents behind the rear bumper, I believe.

Thanks will have a look when the drizzle stops in the next few days.

I thought this was a hatch only issue and didn't affect the estates?

The bumper brackets can also leak around the rivets.  Not sure how high up the tie downs are in the estate?
