which parts needs cleaning?

Featured Replies

ok guys, i have had my focus nearly a year now and i need to know which part could do with some good cleaning?

i was thinking about the throttle body, spraying some carb cleaner in there while someone else press on the gas so it doesn't stall. do people still do that?

obviously i will be doing the service for it too i.e sparkplugs, oil etc.

is there any other parts that i should be cleaning?

many thanks guys 🙂

If it ain't broke...then none.

Breaking seals on older car parts just to clean them isn't a good idea imo, too much potential for creating problems you don't currently have.

thank you tom,

i will just leave it as it is 🙂

be careful with carb cleaner it can mess up plastic parts same as brake and clutch cleaner, as Tom says leave it alone.
