Bikergone bald
Hi, My 2014 1.0 Ecoboost Titanium has just been to Ford for diagnostics on loss of power and loss of coolant. They found the water leaks, told me the power loss was due to an exhaust sensor and the catalyst needing replacement. They also reported a failed body control module. I've only had two faults that might be associated with that. The TPMS system didn't work and neither did the cruise control, i assumed the cruise control didn't work because of the TPMS. My questions are: 1. Could the TMPS and cruise control problems be because of the BCM fault? 2. Ford want £671 to replace the BCM, what's a realistic price at an independent specialist? 3. Can the BCM be damaged by a flat battery? When i test drove the car the battery had gone flat and the dealer had it on charge but it drove no problem. When i went to pick it up the keyless ignition didn't work and he couldn't stop the alarm going off. His garage diagnosed a failed battery and replaced it, two days later the TPMS failed. Could it have been a BCM fault rather than a failed battery? Thanks guys.

No, but they can get damaged if the battery is very flat and the vehicle is jump started.
Bikergone bald
Thanks Unofix. The dealer did start it using a jump pack.
Botus
should we not care the engine is likley toast due to the inherent design flaw and a sensor is the last of your issues? the cyl heads crack leaking engine coolant in to the exhaust... listen to the radio link second one below
