James1884
This is my first post and I'm an absolute novice. I am currently storing a SORNed 14 reg Focus Zetec S TDCI (50K mileage) I have discovered water lying in the spare wheel well which I hope to cure by re-sealing the vents behind the bumper. However, both passive keys have suddenly stopped operating the central locking AND the start/stop switch. I have replaced both passive key batteries and the car battery starts the car without a problem once I have gained entry with the key blade and inserted the key into the key holder. I'm unsure if the damp/key problems are connected or if there is anything I can do about the key problem prior to putting the car back on the road and having a diagnostic check carried out. If you have access to a multi meter, report back with the voltage your battery is kicking out (engine not running)...
