SOS malfunctioning

Hey does anyone recognise the battery in the photo? 
my car was stolen and returned with this in the vehicle, also I now have a sos malfunction and no voice commands working

Battery backup for the SOS system.  (If the car battery was damaged you could still call for help).  

I think it fits up in the headlining but could be confusing it with another model.

They must have pulled the battery from the telematics unit to stop it being tracked.

You might be able to claim on your insurance to have things put right if it's not a simple fix.

Was any other damage done? The TCU battery isn't the easiest to get to without being carefull with certain trims.
