Ford focus 1.5 diesel 2019 cranking but not starting

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I need some advice on my ford focus 2019 mk4 1.5 diesel. The car was running fine until one morning I tried starting it and it was cranking over but not starting. I'm not sure if it's a fuel related or electric or maybe even the engine. It's done just over 100k miles and I believe the last service carried out was overdue by a couple thousand miles, also it is not showing any warning lights on the dash either. I was wondering if anyone has come across anything similar to this as it may be some common problem? Any advice welcome. Thanks in advance 👍

When you say no warning lights, does the rest of the dash light up as it should?

On the 1.5 TDCI, I'd suspect the tank fuel pump being at fault.  But we need to rule out the battery & immobiliser first.

Hello danny,

Did you ever get a resolution to this? Our car has just experienced the exact same symptoms.
