See song names on the radio

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

I got a 2014 MK3 1.6 Focus. Currently my radio when playing songs via Bluetooth says its playing audio from a Bluetooth device. What would I need to change in order for the artist and title to be displayed.

I have attached an image of what the head unit and screen looks like.

Thanks

The tracks would need to be "tagged" on the device your playing from if your headunit supports this feature. Many free apps outthere i use Mp3 tag and have done for years. When i download stuff its not always labelled, tagging sorts it.

I do believe it is a head unit limitation as my previous car a Fiesta 2019 model displayed the names perfectly and the app I use hasn't changed.

Maybe ask Ford directly, but i say this tongue firmly in cheek. I queried a part with them but as id put a facelift tailgate on a PFL car they refused to even engage as i deviated from standard.

The car will almost certainly have the SYNC 1.0 system.

SYNC 1.0 is installed between 18-06-2012 and 06-03-2014 and does simply not support track info over Bluetooth.

If you want track info over Bluetooth the system needs to be converted to SYNC 1.1. This requires installation/configuration of the SYNC 1.1 APIM module.

Thank you for the info. Any idea where to find such a unit? I'm guessing amazon, Ebay etc.?

try ford breakers or local scrappys, if confident and you can find one upgrade the whole head unit if possible

Roll back the audio video remote control profile(Bluetooth AVRCP) HU's over 5 years old won't display track info from Bluetooth phone streaming, if on Android phone. Lots of guides on Google

I have selected AVRCP 1.3 on my android device. Lets see if that will work. Thanks
