Stop/Start 2015 1.6 Focus TDCi zetec

I have recently purchased a 2015 focus tdci zetec. It has a button to turn the auto stop/start off beside the gearstick. I have read that low battery power etc can cause it not to work. However lots of people mention that it shows a grated out symbol in the centre console of the A with swirl. Mine shows nothing no swirl on gray surly it on this car tho or has it be deactivated in setting somehow. Any help would be much appreciated 👍🏻
