Focus 2009 1.8 Petrol Stiff Gear Change After Oil Change

Featured Replies

Changed gearbox oil.  Used Comma Fully Synthetic MVMTF 75W90.  Now have problem where changing gear has become stiff, only when car has done 20+ miles.  If short journeys, no problem with gear changes.  I used an oil syphon to pull old oil out drain plug.  I only got 800ml out.  I refilled 1 litre then oil started coming out drain plug.  Car was on ramps on front end so not level and I assume it is slightly overfilled?  will this harm gearbox seals or will it be OK?  Is this just a coincidence that the stiff gear change has started as car was fine before changing oil?  Any ideas, thanks in advance.
