Ford focus 2008 immobiliser key programming

Featured Replies

Hello, I have seen a few videos on YouTube where you can buy these cheap programming kits that plug into the car and you use a laptop and you can apply as many keys as you want. I need 2 new keys for my ford because my only one is failing.

I don't want to pay timpsons 300 pounds for the pleasure of cutting and pairing my key.

The blipper looks quite easy to do.

I need to find someone to cut the key.

Youtube example which I can't find the product.

Be aware that many locksmiths will not cut the blade if they don't sell you the key. Get a quote from a decent independent locksmith who from recent posts here may charge between £50 - £100 for a new flip key... You will need 2 x factory supplied keys to program any further yourself. I would go the 'locksmith' route.

your local motor factors should also do key cutting, it cost me a tenner to get a blade done, try Aliexpress for keys

With only one factory key, the OP will not be able to use the Ford programming method. As he has already sought out Timpsons, I feel he'd find life easier to get it done for him by a locksmith.

if he uses FORscan he can clear ALL stored keys in PAT's then recode upto 3 new keys or poss more. I did it with mine and had a squeaky b u m while doing it incase i failed.

Yes, but if he had ForScan, and a suitable cable, I doubt he'd have gone to Timpsons for a quote. Maybe you'll inspire him to go all techie LOL

Looks like a OPW anyway...
