Mk4 1.5 diesel engine idle

Featured Replies

I'm just after a bit of advice, recently taken delivery of my 19 plate ford focus st line x - 1.5 diesel.

I can't help but notice what can only be described as a whooshing or a surgeing noise when at idle. Does anybody know if this is normal for this engine?

Thanks.

Maybe it's just me then, I mean it runs absolutely fine and has just had a major service

Once its had a decent blast around the country roads from Stamford to Spalding and back, it'll do it a world of good to get some charge back into the battery if it's been stood on the forecourt for a while 👍
