MK3 ECOnetic - Towball bicycle rack

Hello all,

I have a 2013 MK3 Focus (estate) ECOnetic with a 1.6 TDCi (105hp). The car came with a retractable towbar, but the manual states that this car is not approved for towing which is fine. 
But I want to attach a towball bicycle rack on it, would that be okay? Of course below the specified 70kg weight limit.

    The car not being Type approved for towing does not affect the use of a bicycle rack.
