Indicator sound

Featured Replies

Hi I need some advice on if it is poss and how to make my indicator sound LOUDER lol as the old ears are not as good as they used to be ..So is it poss to increase the tone either physically or changing the relay if it has one , or even wire a additional beeper in the circuit, (if I knew where to connect) just fed up of not hearing when they have not canceled, plus the turn lights on the IC are hard to see in the daytime, any help please..

Not really helpful to me, he obviously had the same prob as myself. Car electrics are a nightmare not like days gone by with no electronics...

Engineer and attach a plastic tube to the speaker outlet on the cluster and route it onto an opening on the front of the dashboard (if you have auto aircon) or the unused interior temperature grille (if you don't have auto aircon)

That should make it louder

You could also unsolder the speaker from the board, mount it on the front of the dashboard and route two new wires and re-solder to the board

Or you could just connect one of these:

Think the OP would be keen to understand where you would you connect the positive feed to? Does the focus have what originally was called a flasher unit or is the indication on more modern cars managed by the GEM module or other?

On a Focus 2010 the Body Control Module operates the indicators.

The little buzzer unit only has three wires. (1) Ground (2) Left indicator (3) Right indicator

It is extremely easy to install simply find the left and right indicator wires and a ground point.
