I'm due my first MOT at the end of the month, I bought my car from new and it's always seems to thump of the near side rear on bumps, pot holes and speed humps, it doesn't happen at other times, it doesn't rattle so I'm thinking it's not a broken spring, I also had the 2 year service, where they filmed under the car, the Technician didn't notice anything.

If there is an issue will it be picked up during the MOT? or should I mention this to them, I have to drive so slowly over speed humps to stop it thumping, it's worse with a full tank of fuel or wait in the back, thanks for your thought.

If you are still in warranty, have it MOTd at Ford. Whatever they find the warranty will cover

Might be a daft question but is there anything loose in the boot?  Spare wheel kit etc.

I'm currently in the same situation albeit with a different marque.  Wondering whether it's worth going to the main dealer for first MOT or not.  I've already been told one item 'may not' be replaced under warranty, so wouldn't take it as given that absolutely anything else would be either.  And once the car is there, if anything does need replacing that's not covered by warranty, main dealer would be more expensive than elsewhere, or you have the logistical hassle of taking it elsewhere for repair and potentially paying for a retest fee as well.  Not as simple a choice as it first seems! 🤔

Thanks, nothing in the boot loose, spare wheel is tight, when they did the health check spring wasn't broken and no leak from the shock, think I might mention as it's a bit annoying trying avoid bumps in the road all of the time.

I have an annoying noise in the rear of my car, but it's only when the wife sits in the back seats 🤔
