Focus MK 3 Zetec 2011 battery replacement procedure.

I watched a video on you tube which gives good instructions on battery removal and replacement covering air filter housing removal, maf sensor, unclipping wiring loom from the battery box etc. All seems fine. The bit I am not sure about is the battery monitor module wiring clip which seems easy to remove, but when the battery slides out, the part the clip fits in to appears to be attached to the battery. Do you then remove this and fit it to the new battery ? Looking at the replacement battery from Halfords it doesn't have this attached to the new battery. Any help on this would be much appreciated. Am I also correct in my assumption that the MK 3 doesn't have a radio code ?
