Key not detected on 2015 Ford Focus Estate Automatic

Recently been experiencing 'key not detected' and have done the most obvious things first such as making sure battery is fully charged, changed the coin batteries in both keys for new ones and checked in excess of 3.3v.

I have  solved it temporarily by opening the drivers door then shutting it, locking and unlocking the doors and then I hear the sound that usually happens behind the fascia on driver's side and then I can start the engine.

Someone suggested it is the aerial antenna module that is faulty, but I cannot find it's location to check or replace.

I would be so grateful if anyone could tell me where it actually is fitted, rather than a guess as I reckon it is hidden somewhere inside the bodywork. Thanks in advance.
