2.0 tdci cam belt replacement

Featured Replies

I need to have my cam belt changed on my 2008 2.0 tdci what should I expect to pay, I will also have the water pump done at the same time

About £280 including the water pump, if done at an independent.

Thanks for your reply Unofix , I was expecting a lot more , does that  include parts and Labour ?

Pricing is not an exact science unfortunately due to the many variables.

Last year we had the cam belt  and water pump changed on a 2010 Kuga 2.0 Tdci which if my memory serves me correct was £280, including parts and labour. Perhaps you could expect an extra £20 to £30 to allow for inflation 🙄

That's definitely a 'Northern' quote.

The 2.0 TDCI is a pretty easy belt to change, so you're not looking at 'wetbelt' kind of costs.  Though I'd still expect more like £350-£400 myself.

There is no better way to estimate the cost than getting your own quotes locally I'm afraid.

I'm in the North East, and the OP is in Yorkshire so it should be cheaper for him 🤣
