HELP PLEASE - Fitting OEM Reverse Camera Focus MK3.5 2017

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I am hoping for some advice for the below issue I have,

I decided to install an OEM Reverse Camera on my 2017 Titanium after reading a few posts about how it can be done, from all the posts and forums I read I was positive that I was ready to go. I have the correct BV6T-14B526-AC module, all the required fuses, 10A fuse in F28 engine bay and 5A fuse in F29 boot compartment. I also have the grey camera connection in the boot present.

I installed everything fine and went into Forscan and on the BCMii Main module I set Parking Assist Camera from without parking assist camera to with parking assist camera. From there I went on the APIM module and set the Rear Vehicle Camera from disabled to enabled. After this once I put the car in reverse all I was getting was a blue screen, then black, then a camera not working contact the dealer message. I master reset the Sync 3 but still no change. I am getting a "U0264 Lost Communication With Camera Module Rear" currently.

The reverse camera and accompanying harness are from a 2017 Focus RS, part numbers are:

F1EB-19B514-BE

F1ET-14D466 AAH

I'm a bit stumped as to why it isnt working, everything that should be there is there. Any help would be much appreciated :)

I think you'll have to check to see if pins 14 and 15 are present in your APIM connector.
