Rearside boot of car found a black box

Featured Replies

2011, Ford Fiesta. When changing the rear side break light, in the boot of the car (rear side), behind the back lights more a less, there is a black box -size of palm of hand-  securely tied with a tie-back to hold it in a discrete place, almost above the back wheel too. Also,  it is behind the carpet in the boot. What could this be? Thanks in advance68795745_E116B660-D8AD-4E39-AC54-9A7D89EA34513Small.jpeg.d051c55b4f7784ee65f53c97d5d03851.jpeg

Towbar electrics?  Aftermarket parking sensor module?

Might be an updated flux capacitor, or even some back up dilithium crystals?

The photo is difficult to see - however could it be an insurance black box?

Anything written on it? Any part numbers/model numbers/serial numbers?

Unplug it and see what stops working.....

Now, you see, I'm of an age where that phrase is entirely innocent 🤣

Hi thanks for the suggestions I understand now it is a sensor module. I initially done a brief google search which told me parking sensors are on the bumpers and from that I presumed it must not be that however after reading your suggestion I’ve googled it again and yes it appears to be the sensor module thanks again
