23.1 gb Update available

Featured Replies

23.1gb map update now available on the Ford site, not to be confused with the 43kb one from the other week.

Hi All, Anyone else seen this because it isn't showing up for me. I am one of those people who has been having problems with the update site accepting  previous log file downloads. I am wondering if I still have a problem although it supposedly cleared a couple of weeks back. Mine left the factory with F11 installed so I assume this is F12.

What version are you on? I wonder if Ford have made F12 public yet.

I think I'm on F11 via Cyanlabs last year.

Maps will not update because I've previously used Cyanlabs to upgrade to Sync 3.4 and Ford think that I should only be on Sync 3.0. Will try again via Cyanlabs.

F12 maps are now available for download and install from Ford.

I’m only getting 49kb download which isn’t correct anyone else having the same problem

You might have more luck using Syn3 Updater from Cyan Labs

Don’t forget there are two different sets of maps.

Sync 3.0 maps and Sync 3.4 maps. They are different packages even if the underlying maps are the same.

They are always released at different times.

Think I will just wait till Ford fix there website

I'm just downloading a 2023 version of Sync 3.4 and F12 maps from Cyanlabs, official Ford route failed for me due to previous Cyanlab update.

Could be waiting a long time Dave like me.

Yeah probably had a go downloading a month ago it was still the same do you have much luck doing over Wi-Fi

Ditto to that, I'm still trying to upload the log file from the previous Sync 3.4 update, done using the USB method. Tried going down the wi-fi route afterwards but car says its up to date, which it is...you would think that something as simple as uploading a file wouldn't be that difficult...but this is Ford 🤪

I'm having the exact same problem. On the Ford website it is showing a map update for my vehicle. The file size is only 49KB. I downloaded this file and then plugged USB into car. Got a message on screen within 1 minute saying applying update. Update completed & a log file produced on USB which I uploaded to the Ford website with success followed by a green tick. Ford website still showing there is an map update when in fact it's not. It's the same 49KB file what ever that is.

I confirm what others have already said. Once again Ford have screwed up and the F12 map update does not work !

I have the Ford website telling me that there is a map update for my car, and the car itself saying that it is fully up to date with the Sync software and with F11 maps.

Perhaps Ford just do this on purpose to give us all something to talk about 🤣

Just means they haven't released it yet.

The maps leak way before they are made public. They test on company cars, then a small sample before wider roll out to catch any major issues.

The map voice packages for F12 have already been replaced once.

I can confirm that on my 2018 car I have successfully installed F12 maps and a 2023 version of Sync 3.4 via Cyanlabs and what's more  it was all done whilst connected to a battery charger. I did not have to turn the engine on at all and the whole process took about ninety minutes.

Got my 2018 - Fiesta ST-Line upgraded, took about 1h 30 mins,   updated to F11.

Does anyone know the change log by any chance?

That looks like an early version, Sync 3 is currently on version 3.4.22200

There are two branches of Sync 3.

Sync 3.0 and 3.4 are maintained separately.

This is the highest my Sync will upgrade to, i believe 2019 fiesta's and above support Sync 3.4 , Also i have heard the those new Sync systems have a higher cpu clock speed

I’ve used CyanLabs to upgrade the missus’ 2018 Fiesta to 3.4 with no issues. Your mileage may vary though, of course.
