Mk2 1.6 ghia, ABS light

Featured Replies

I had a the abs light come on a couple months back. Read the errors, it mentioned about the wheel speed sensor. So went cheapest option first replaced sensor, however the light was still on. After further diagnostic, I found the wheel bearing had play so I had that replaced. But abs light is still on. After going through Diagnostic steps to make sure 12v is on plug and sensor, I sued forscan to monitor the sensor.

The sensor reads the speed however cuts in and out reporting 0 then displays current speed. The only error still showing is C1145-A0.

I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem or anyone has any insight to fix it.

Possibly the worn wheel bearing damaged the original sensor.

I've had a look at the speed sensor, no damage. Swapped it to another wheel and it works fine.
