Remote central locking not working

The remote central locking on my 2009 fiesta has stopped working. The central locking works fine putting the key in the lock.  I have two keys and have replaced the batteries on both. I have tried syncing the keys by turning car on and off till it beeps and pressing the key buttons. 

Any suggestions of what to try next?

    Just ensure you didn't put cheap Chinese/Poundland batteries in first.

    Energizer are best, I found.

    And make sure the batteries are in the correct way
