The car engine gets hot while driving. Engine performance decreases when the engine is hot. The fan starts. The car's water pump has been replaced and the radiator system has been washed. Could the fault be in the thermostat or the temperature sensor? When the engine is hot, the revs stay up for a while when you press the clutch.

    Yes, thermostat would be the first thing I would check

    You could still have lots of air in the system from the pump change
