Focus 2008 mk2.5 Steering issue

Featured Replies

Ive sorned my car and had it off the road for about 5 months, ive ocassionally started and checked everything is OK. But in the last month I noticed when I tunred the wheel left or righ a little or full lock, the car makes a der der der der noise both ways. Could this be down to the fluid drying up? Seems odd would be on both sides and it wasnt that long ago I had a new drive shaft fitted on one side. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Rust on the front discs ? Try it with foot on brakes. Springs or top mounts creaking ?

Check the fluid level, as said, top mounts can give this type of sound, it’s hard to diagnose without hearing it tbh.
