Hey,

I had virtually all my warning lights come on and off on my dash then PAS fault warning light then lost power steering, windows would not open etc.

I then lost all power to the dash but car continued to drive normally other than no power steering. Power then came back on dash with just the battery light on with

everything else working ok, even the power steering came back. After investigating I found this power cable in the engine bay.

Can anyone identify this cable and could it be the root cause of my issue. I checked the alternator and voltage is as it should be.

    That's a heated windscreen plug. 

    They fit near the bonnet hinges and can rub on them.
