Flat Spot

Featured Replies

Could have sworn i posted this yesterday, but heyho. As title using motorway slip roads and i seem to have a flat spot between 50-60mph when joining. New plugs not wet, could it be the coil pack ? will it only do it in a certain power band or should i feel it across the range ?

Thanks

Is the plug gap correct and not a little too big ?

Is the coil pack the original, as they get older they can become less able to produce a good spark ?

my guy always gaps plugs never just uses out the box, and as far as i know its the original coil pack. I dont do a lot of motorway miles so never really raised its head before. Will change the pack, cheers

Any codes in FORSCAN, missfire perhaps?

The HT leads were a bit junk on these too. I've known loads of these have HT leads go down

cheers guys will investigate all suggestions, in the middle of a full kitchen refit, so time limited for other stuff., the joys of life haha
