MK3 mirror black line?

Featured Replies

My other half has just bought a mk3 Focus and we've just noticed one mirror is normal and the other has split mirror like this? is this for blind spot? just confused why only one side has it.

You're right, it's an aspheric mirror.  The end part has an extra curve to give a wider field of view, so you should see cars right beside as well as further back.

I'm fairly sure they were fitted as standard to Mk3s in the UK, and on both sides, so someone has probably fitted a cheap aftermarket replacement to one side.

I thought so and yeah seems they've caught the mirror and just chucked a cheap one on so will get that sorted thanks.
