Ford Focus 1.6 tdci mk2.5 questions

Hello

I've checked and it shows the dpf needs cleaning out. I noticed somebody before must of taken the intake of and cleaned it all out loads of oil and small coal everywhere. So I've had to clean all this up really messy stuff that. I checked all the pipes and hoses there all nice and clean. I even cleaned out the rocker cam cover.

I'm getting the dpf cleaned out by a professional mobile person. I've bought a egr blank which the same time I get the car remapped for the egr delete. The 3rd option that could be done as well carbon clean I will see about this one on the day. I've noticed these engines seem to get full of crap. so the remap and egr delete the way forward the same time as the dpf clean.

I'm looking at the breather pipe from the rocker cam cover to air intake could this be closed of the air hose intake. Then the breather pipe have a small air filter breather cone added to try keep things cleaner or will it be best to leave it as it is?

The egr valve once blanked of and remap delete done do you leave it plugged in or out?

Thanks

I've merged all your threads in to one.

I appreciate you have a lot of questions about your new car, but please don't start a new thread for each question.

This is a discussion forum where topics can cover more than one question, rather than being a Q&A website. 🙂
