U1900 Code/Engine malfunction.

Hey. 

Does anyone have any experience with a U1900 code. It keeps coming up on a buddy's 2009 1.8 Petrol Focus. It seems to coincide with the engine malfunction warning. 

He has had it happen a few times.  

It only happened to me once, in a car wash, with the engine off.

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Probably the instrument cluster lead free solder issue . Slap the dash above the instrument cluster and see if changes anything. About £100 to have the cluster re-soldered.

    other area to look at is water ingress ino the BCM/Fusebox behind the glove box on the passenger side
