2018 Ford Focus Clutch Pedal Sticking

Clutch pedal just started sticking to floor. 

Can be manually lifted back up and shifts into gears again normally after.

Called a couple of local garages and getting mixed responses on the work required. Online suggest cylinder only, but a couple of the places have said they would need to remove the entire gearbox to do any work - others have said that's not necessary.

Can anyone advise on the correct course here? Don't want to pay for unnecessary labour/parts.

    It depends on what the fault is. If it is the master clutch cylinder that is failing then no need to remove the gearbox. On the other hand if it is the clutch slave cylinder (more likely) then the gearbox will have to come out.

     

    Thread title says it's a 2018 but your profile says it's a Ford model N/A 2020 ????

    Mine is 202 plate, the other half drives an 18 plate ST-Line.
