ford focus 2105 1.5 zetec sidelights always on

Featured Replies

hello,

i have recently purchased a 2015 ford focus and i am having trouble wrapping my head round this, my side lights are always on when the light switch is turned off, then when i turn the light switch onto the 2nd position, they turn off.

im wondering if this is meant to happen or is this possibly a wiring fault or something else wrong with the car?

Are you referring to the DRL's (Day Running Lights) which are required to be always on when the ignition is on ?

The DRL's will either dim or turn off completely (depending on the individual model) once the headlights are turned on.

It seems that the behavior of the side lights in your 2015 Ford Focus might be intentional rather than a wiring fault.

Some Ford Focus models have a feature where the side lights are always on when the car is running, and they turn off when the light switch is in the second position.

This behavior is also reported by other Ford Focus owners and seems to be normal function of the vehicle.

Yep, just like the post before yours stated 🤣

@unofix OPW???

I suspect that Jackson has been working up to posting the recent advertising link. Must admit it's taken awhile to get there but it came as no surprise. The post in another thread has now been removed.
