Hi are the front strut mounts and struts any different in the MK3/MK3.5 or are they interchangeable?

I believe they are common, they might have improved, slightly, over time, so I'd put lates on earlies, but not earlies on lates, if you know what I mean

Thanks done some long searching whilst waiting it seems they Improved the spring perches I wonder if the newer one still have issues with the bearings going so soon.

What symptoms have led you to believe you need to replace the front suspension struts and mounts? I'm surprised you need both.

Cheaper to buy a complete strut 2nd hand perhaps.

Blimey Mike. Anyone who buys a single suspension item needs shooting.

Always buy in Pairs.

Crashy, squeaky, bouncy and binding on turns possible mount or spring on one side but prefer to replace the lot.

I have purchased both otherwise the old one would just be next and a different version so would be stupid.

The ones I got were from an ST 2.0 TDCI 185 there is a very small difference in weight to the ZS 163 but when fitted the height is exactly the same and what a difference so much smoother turning the lot 😁 Noticed my black diamond brake pads are getting low whilst doing it so more money to be thrown at it soon.
