Suggestion on ford 6000CD ‘s replacement

Featured Replies

Hi! I own a 2006 mk5 fiesta which has a 6000CD as car stereo. It started giving me annoying problem and i wanted to replace it, but i don’t know how to choose the right/best/best-for-the-value replacement. I wanted to ask you some suggestion…

i’d prefer not having a touch screen stereo, since i don’t like them. I was looking for some single-din stereo which has at least an aux and a usb (i know the 6000 CD is a double-din, but i can 3D-print a mask). If you can share your knowledge, it is much appreciated…

i have another question, are there some stereo which are “plug and play”? I mean stereo which don’t need to cut and modify the connector ( it will be my first time changing a stereo and i wanted to avoid cutting wires). If there is an adaptor between the original connector and the new-stereo-connector, can you suggest me where i can find it?

i’m sorry for my bad english, but i’m Italian and the italian ford forum are ignoring me. If this is a stupid question, be honest and tell me that. Thanks for reading the message! Have a nice day!!

@Rowan112 may have an idea what you can use and he can make you a custom connecting cable so it would be Plug and Play.

Connects2 do some very good model specific connection cables to allow a standard head unit to plug into a manufacturer specific connection
