As far as I know the colour is not adjustable. If it looks less blue than normal then try turning the brightness down.

It was blue but my brother drove the car and now its that colour, even the tick that shows the seatbelt on is now in white/grey

So what did your brother do to change the colour ?

I've just checked mine this morning and there is no option to change the colour. I suspect you have a faulty screen.

Yes i have checked every option as well and i cant seem to find an option, so maybe the screen is faulty .. this might be dumb but would it need latest Sync maybe?

Sync updates nothing to do with the instrument cluster.

Isn't the amount of blue just to show how economical you are driving the car? Is it possible your brother drive the car like he stole it? 😂

Has the blue returned, if so he's telling porkies lol

Well having given my car a "good run" today and some heavy acceleration I have learnt something about the Blue Eco Circle that I didn't know !!!!

Firstly, the blue colour does not change, it remains exactly the same shade of blue no matter how hard you drive.

.......but then the surprise (or it was to me). The harder you accelerate the thickness of the blue band gets thinner until you only have a white circle with a very thin blue line around it.

Personally I never use "eco" anything so I've now turned it off and just gone back to normal driving.

To be honest its not just the blue around the speedometer, so when you put on the seatbelt it should show a green tick right? The road speed signs should be in red/white right? And the side options should be blue. Its not a big deal for me but i just want to know for sure if its settings or a faulty screen

also ive only bought the car last week. Ive had fiesta before and never had a problem with that screen IMG_7684.thumb.jpeg.f8cae979918941f06ff1e2c664d3b773.jpeg

It hasnt, but its not just the blue around the speedometer, so when you put on the seatbelt it should show a green tick right? The road speed signs should be in red/white right? And the side options should be blue so im guessing its a faulty screen probably

Sounds like it. Others on here may know about this, but first time I've seen this reported.

As you bought the car last week, is it under warranty or was it a private sale?

Also not sure if a long shot but is it worth disconnecting/reconnecting the battery in case it is just some sort of 'glitch'.

Interested to hear how you go on.

It was a private sale, to be honest i dont want to risk disconnecting the battery then the radio might need a code right?

Might be worth going into the engineer mode and checking all of the display. Press and hold the ok button on right of steering wheel and then switch ign on. Then go up and down as required to get the cluster to light up.

No radio code required on the Focus Mk4.

Yes.

I can't quite work out how this has failed. The way an LCD screen works is by having pixels of Red Green and Blue. If the colours died you'd have nothing. To get white it has to use them all equally. So the actual coloured pixels are working, but it's like the controller is sending a black and white picture to the LCD.

It must either be a software glitch or hardware failure further up the chain that's sending a black and white image to the display. Very odd.

I'd definitely try disconnecting the battery, to force all the modules to reboot. That might be enough to fix it, there are no radio codes or anything to worry about.

It really is a few minutes work. Try disconnecting the battery. Use spanner, job done.
