Half LED headlights

Anyone know if it's possible to adjust the level of the dipped LED headlights? Seems the right one is a little too low

Assuming that your car is RHD and that you drive on the left, then it would be correct that your right hand beam pattern is lower than the left

I'd like it to light up the center of the road more, even on the highest level setting it still seems too low. Any idea if it can be adjusted slightly?

LED lights are fixed. I don't know what country you are in, but here in the UK you can get the headlight alignment checked at an MOT testing station. If both the dipped beam and the main beam are low then the whole headlight assembly has to be physically adjusted.

Sorry, yes I'm in the UK also. Never had a problem with them passing an MOT, just think the beam doesn't go down the road enough when on motorways and country roads. Guess I'll just have to keep knocking the high beams on and off

Some independent KwikFit' type places here in NI offer FREE headlight alignment, so it may be worth seeking out where you are especially if you're unhappy with current alignment. You should also adjust your profile to reflect you are in UK as it's significant when posting queries on your car on the forum as different countries have different specd cars...

That's what the high beams are meant for. If you raise the dipped beams you'll just dazzle oncoming drivers with the intense white light from LED lamps. Show a bit of consideration for others.

That's why I have suggested getting them professionally aligned with a proper beam projection machine. That will ensure that no one gets blinded by a mis aligned beam.

I agree, that's the correct thing to do. It's people who try to depart from those settings without regard for the consequences for others that get me annoyed.

I'm very conscious of the issue as I changed my old halogen bulbs to new LED bulbs in January and got a stream of criticism that I might blind oncoming drivers! I wouldn't dream of driving with them without getting them professionally adjusted. Indeed they just passed the MOT a couple of months back in spite of LEDs being a 'grey' area in bulb upgrades!

I'll give kwikfit a try!

I'm not looking to raise them in a way that would dazzle oncoming drivers, I just want them to illuminate the road a little bit better.

I understand you wanting to have the best visibility you can get but you may have to accept that the current settings are correct.

Depending on the trim level of your car it may be possible to add the 'Auto High Beam' using FORScan. I added it to my Titanium X and it has made a huge difference when driving on unlit roads.

Interesting! Do you think it's possible to do this on a titanium trim level?

It all depends on which version of the camera that is fitted to the windscreen.

Do you have auto wipers ?

Yes the car has auto wipers.

Then you should be able to configure the Auto High Beam with the settings in the table

Well I'm really surprised by that Stephen and I'll tell you why. I tried to find LED bulb upgrades for my car but low and behold I couldn't find any. What I did find however is that the upgrade is illegal. Found that in a few searches.

I'm concerned that your MOT is null and void so I'd do some research Stephen just incase a genned up police officer stops you and confiscated your car for not having a valid MOT and in essence no insurance.

I'm not so don't lose sleep on my account. If my brakes were dodgy, sure I'd be concerned, but what kind of headlights I have?? Seriously, I have proper stuff in life to worry about 🤣

LOL I don't lose sleep over anything Stephen.

Aaaah!! What it was to be young and get an uninterrupted night's sleep .

Isn't that why the 'en suite' was invented? 🤣
