Fitting Pioneer DAB radio to 2011 S-Max

Featured Replies

I've had a Pioneer SPH-BD130DAB Radio fitted in to my 2008 Mondeo for 2 years now, but I have just removed it and replaced the original back as I'm taking delivery of a 2011 S-Max Titanium on Wednesday.

I intend swapping the S-Max DAB radio with the Pioneer unit. Everything seems as though it should be ok BUT I have a query about the DAB aerial in the S-Max. I've been unable to find a photo of the aerial plug.  There is no aerial like the Mondeo so I assume it's fitted in the glass somewhere but has the aerial one plug or 2 (VHF and DAB)? Do I need something like this to fit? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Eightwood-Splitter-Antenna-Compatible-Blaupunkt-Aerial-01/dp/B01MRIFCDD/ref=sr_1_11?crid=1SC5RHIKEWYFK&keywords=plug+in+dab+car+aerial+plug&qid=1702907846&sprefix=plug+in+dab+car+aerial+plug%2Caps%2C80&sr=8-11

Hope someone can help. Thank You.

I had the original Sony DAB unit out our S Max Tit X yesterday, and happened to snap a couple of pics of the plugs whilst doing it. No close ups of the aerial plugs specifically but will hopefully give you enough of an idea.

There are 2 of them. Both are the same fitting, so which socket they connect to is dictated by colour. See if you can find a pic of the back of this type of Ford/Somy DAB unit to see the socket it connects too.

Thank you.  That points me in the right direction.
