Clicking noise from heater.

Featured Replies

Hi all and Happy New Year.

I have a 2011 titanium 1.6,every now and then i hear a clicking noise drivers side on the heater but seems higher up, I do have climate control and i did use to

hear like a flap open and shut which i do think this is but clicking, this flap does it when heater is off and i think when car is off.

Where is it and what is the purpose off it.

Thanks.

Does anyone know the part number for the Heater Blend Door Actuator for a 2011 1.6 tit.

Well i have looked at a few videos on YouTube and the clicking is from under the steering Colum and its the same clicking noise.

Thanks a lot for the diagram and part number, great help.

Might be a stupid question, all the videos on youtube are of a left hand drive,is it the same layout of the heater.

So if im looking at fitting a driver side one but left hand drive on video would that be the passenger one on a right hand one.

Sorry if its confusing and being thick 🤣

The heater box is the same one used on the RHD model as the LHD.

The right hand side of the heater is the same on both models.

I have only just started to have a look, I don't think i have the right one as a lot of videos say drivers /passenger.

I know its the drivers side RHD as i have been under by it and can hear it bad.                            https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0C9SXP9WT?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

any advice on this would be great, sick of the ticking noise.

Use this site: https://catalogs.ssg.asia/ford/?lang=en

Enter your VIN number and then take a look at the HVAC system to see if it matches yours.

Hi, this is the first site I've been able to find populated by people from the UK which I'm hoping will help because like Jace1969, all I've found are videos showing L.H.D. models.

Unofix says that the heater units in both options are the same so my first question is this, does that mean that the actuator that controls the heat settings can be accessed from behind the glove box in the same way as the one which controls the recycled air? In the videos the actuator they change is on the left hand side of the heater unit and is accessed from under the steering column.

I also see in the videos that when the bottom section of the column surround is removed there is a gap large enough to enable you to put your hand in to access the fixings for the actuator but on my own car when I remove the surround there is no possible way to get my hand in anywhere thanks to a largish silver metallic unit which appears to be an associated part of the steering column and doesn't look as though it is removable so my second question is if the actuator is located on the right of the heater unit as I suspect, how can it be accessed?

Sorry if I've rambled on but having had no heater for the past two winters I'm desperate to get this issue resolved.
