When turning the ignition on, Navigation fails to load nearly every time. I have to reboot using the steering wheel controls. Even then it sometimes fails again, or cannot find the cars location so the position indicator is jumping around all over the place. I'm aware of map freezing issues caused by an update in Nov 2023 however my issue has been happening ever since I got the car in July 2022. It's been back to the dealer twice now and each time I'm told it's a known problem that will be addressed in the next update. It hasn't and I don't have any confidence that it ever will be. I'm on software version 21333 Rev 284. Anyone else have this problem, and if so, did it ever get fixed?

Last November's update failed and trashed the SYNC4 functionality (see this thread). That required a new APIM module to fix it but that didn't sort the navigation problem though. 

 

Sounds more like you have a GPS aerial fault.

If it was just the position indicator on the map jumping around then I'd be inclined to agree. The main issue here is that Navigation does not load, just shows 'Loading' for a while then goes to a black screen. All the other SYNC4 functions that I use work fine eg radio, phone etc.

What's the software version after APIM change? I can see  on the German forum that people changed the APIM and the problem dissappeared, really weird that you still have it...
