Mk2 - Accelerator Pedal Stiff / Slow Repsonse

Featured Replies

Anyone experienced the accelerator pedal being stiff and slow to respond....

I know it's fly by wire throttle so no mechanical linkage....

Perhaps throttle body needs a clean and the throttle pedal needs lubricating / greasing?

Dirty throttle body common on these engines

Do they have an evil EGR system....(I know it reduces emissions but....cokes the system up!)

They do have an EGR.  But it's all contained within the cylinder head.  Nowhere near the throttle body.

It's the oil breather pipe that coats the TB on these.

Yes it does.  But it's right underneath the plastic intake manifold.  Not easy to access.

Don't think there's a weekly post limit on here...or at least, I've never reached it so far. :whistling:
