Engine malfunction service now

Thanks to everyone who has helped and provided advice so far.

So my local garage has booked an auto electrician to check the Alternator and the wiring that goes from the Alternator to the PCM. He has tested it with the equipment they have and he said it looks ok, remember the car now has a new Alternator, New battery and the BMS was reset by myself as I am not sure either the garage or RAC (New battery) did the reset)

The battery warning light come on again for approximately 3 minutes then went off again, this happened on the 12th May on the way home from work, I plugged in and tested for codes with FORScan and it showed the same fault code as before, PIC attached. Before this I had already cleared any stored codes. So I await the results of the auto electrician.

On the 3rd of June I have the car booked in with Ford to do a diagnostic check, again I am looking for advice please. I booked this in 2 months ago as the waiting list is long, it is not cheap, I believe they said it is £180 per hour. The issue is I have now found a fault code with FORScan pinpointing to the Alternator > Wiring >PCM. Yesterday the engine malfunction service now light appeared again with loss of power but no other warning lights, turned off for a minute and the issue had gone. I was unable to check any codes as the wife was driving the car. I plugged in FORScan this morning and the only code was from the 12th May for the battery light. Is there any point in Ford looking at this for the engine malfunction service now warning light that comes on now and again?

From the previous video posted by Phantom it would seem that there are no codes stored when this warning appears on the dash. Can Fords diagnostic tools see the old history of "engine malfunction service now" and pinpoint what is causing this. I have seen other people state that ford are unable to see any warnings and what it relates to when nothing is displayed, I dont want to waste £180.

Thanks again all 🙂
