after searching for pretty long and after studying the online manual I am still a bit helpless. Is there anybody able to give me advise?

I mostly use the audio system to listen to podcasts via wireless Apple Carplay.

But how to switch audio source from carplay to DAB or FM by touch / key press? I have no clue 😞

The only way I found was through voice command, but sometimes this is not that feasible (e.g. while talking to other people).

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You have to come out of Carplay and change source

@unofix, thanks - but the mentioned section in the video in Carplay context does not display the audio source screen (giving access to source change) but instead the Carplay screen. Without possibility to change source 😞

@DaveT70, also many thanks - I was afraid to hear this. Would call this a bit annoying - what if you want to persist using Carplay Navigation (for which reason ever) but switch from Carplay audio to DAB? Leaving Carplay leaves both. Could have been implemented better. But at least voice command access to DAB is possible at least...

I'm also really struggling with fast switching from 'Apple Music' via Carplay to the in-car DAB radio. I'm certainly struggling to do that (safely) while driving, and I usually can't get the DAB radio working again until parked up and then by frantically tapping away at the Ford SYNC4 screen.  I would normally regard myself as a technophile but this is defeating me!  Probably easy if you know how but certainly not intuitive.

If you have good data on your phone then install the radioplayer app and use that through carplay, I do

I do still think that it should be much easier to switch audio sources from Carplay to in-car DAB radio, but hey ho it’s only a Ford Focus, with Sync4, in 2025,  … I should probably be more realistic with my expectations!

You can do this via the instrument panel and using the steering wheel controls.

@Riccardo99 if time permits, please do expand a bit further with a detailed guide for dummies (like me). I haven’t worked out how to do this yet.

you have to press the button with the three lines on the right of the steering wheel, select the audio section and press ok, then from there you move to preset or DAB.

I do believe this works — many thanks.  I must admit to having largely ignored that button, it’s actually very useful!
