Ford s-max p2636

Featured Replies

Hi, i have a problem with my S-max 2.0 ecoboost 203hp powershift.

More than 1 year i have p2636 and sometimes p008a, i have changed low pressure fuel pump, low side pressure sensor, hpfp, high pressure sensor, fuel pump control module, all 4 injectors, rebuilded engine sinds april 2024, new spark plugs, fuel lines were inspected.

After all that the problem still remains.

Warmed up engine shows around 2400kpa of pressure which is not enough, when shifting between 2nd en 3rd gear car cuts out and random missire appears.

Please help me solve this problem. Tnx

Someone?

Sorry, you've changed all of the parts I would've suggested.

Only thing not mentioned is the HPFP tappet - the part between the engine and the pump - was that replaced with the pump?

Yes 2 weeks ago.

What about some sensors like MAP MAF or O2?

Maybe tip to check something?

Tnx

Honestly I can't understand why it's loosing pressure.

That part is all mechanical so the engine running should be providing high pressure to the fuel rail at all times.

If all those parts are new they can't be leaking anywhere.

I really don't think it's a sensor issue but there's no harm in checking them on live diags if you want.

I am going to check the sensors today and post the data from ltft and stft aswel.

On cold start fuel rail pressure is around 4200kpa and after 2 minutes drop back to 2300-2500kpa, after driving 20 minutes raises to 3100- 3500kpa and p008a goes away, that's when i drive normally when i drive more agressive stays at 2500kpa.

Engine is on operating temperature almost after 2minutes.

O2 sensor 1 voltage is going from 0.08 - 0.78v.

O2 sensor 1 trim is going from -0.78% - 4.86%.

O2 sensor  2 voltage is stable at 0 - 0.125v

O2 sensor 2 trim stays at 0%

STFT B1 -9.38%

LTFT B1 17.19%

Maf 2.69g/sec

Map 34kpa

Thats messured on idle.

In decemer i had a problem with starting and immediately fans spins so i thought there i something wrong with temperature sensor so i checked and i saw that the cables from the sensor connector were melted so i splited them and the car was immediately perfect.

Because i drove like weeks with damaged harness is there a chance that i get bad readings?
