Hi all,

I need to take my car to Ford for the Airbag recall,

My car has been remapped with DPF off and EGR a new ECU and a few other bits done,

Will Ford have to Re-Flash my ECU-PCM to do this work? I am worried that they will have to reflash the car and it won't even start for them Id have to get my mapper to re-take the ECU out and bench map it again or recovered from Ford if they did so,

Has anyone had the airbag recall done on a Ford Galaxy or similar 2008 and can confirm they Do or Don't Reflash the car, Can I request them not to do any updates to the car as its Eco remapped while at the dealership?

As far as I know this is a physical parts replacement recall. There should be no need to "reflash" anything.

Perhaps Ian @iantt might know the answer.

Thanks for the reply, I was thinking the same was more then likely going to be a physical replacement, I can always get the map done again anyway worse comes to it, an Airbag recall seems more important in the long run than a map getting wiped.

PCM (which is mapped) is completely separate to Airbag (SRS) so I wouldn't worry
