Hi everyone.my first post as a new member.Ive checked withiun the forum and read various threads but couldnt find the same issue or i missed it if its there.I recently bought a 06 1.25cc fiesta five door.Fab car but suddenly became heavy on petrol.I know a little about cars so I got new spark plugs new plug leads and an ignition coil pack and changed them..Made no difference.Ive a clicking sound which raises and lowers in line with the revving.Ive read about the pcm relay which i checked and even with the relay out three of the contacts remain live.Someone has run a wire wrapped round a fuse to the ignition and when i remove that the fuel pump relay just clicks and no crank,put the wire back on and car starts and drives.The clicking could it be an injector perhaps??I could land it at a garage but it is learning how to fix my own car i want to try and do if that makes sense.

When was the car last given a full service including air filter change ?

The car was serviced and timing belt and water pump done.mpg im not exactly sure on figures but 25 euros was half a tank and id get almost all week going to and from work and now 25 euros will do me two days.the car smells rich ticks over no missing or jumping but that ticking sound its like one of the injectors is spitting or something,and again ive only a little knoiwledge on cars so here to learn
