Parking sensor fault

Featured Replies

Hi so I bought a ford galaxy 2010 last week but didn’t notice when picking it up that the parking sensors didn’t work so I ran a diagnostic and got some codes codesB1B57:11-2F

Front sensor power circuit - circuit short to ground

codesB1B58:11-2F

rear sensor power circuit - circuit short to ground

I have checked back and front wiring looms they look fine no obvious breaks in them took the plugs off the sensors and cleaned them one was green corded so I thought I found the problem but no so I’m still trying to figure it out bought 2 new sensors witch I have switched around trying to see if the system will work with still no luck so I have now ordered 4 rear ones to eliminate that and just swap the front ones around

has anyone else had this problem or these codes before and have a way to solve this problem the beep comes on when I put it in reverse but the parking aid light flashes then nothing

Hi fella did u find a solution i have exact same car with same codes replaced dead sensor but no joy thnks

If changing sensors or disconnecting them doesn't work or change the code, it says "Short to ground" so IMHO there must be a short to ground somewhere or the code is meaningless🙃?
Inspection of the wiring looms for any evidence of rubbing or disconnecting at connectors to get the fault to change or ?

Thankfully, I haven;t had that issue...yet.
