thank you again guys

i have decided to buy them seperately to save cost. the link i posted was for 65 for the pair, i managed to find the driver for 20 and passenger for 20 so 40 posted 🙂

See, I told you running a vintage car has it's advantages. A friends Audi Q7 needed a replacement headlight - cost him £3500!! Don't worry, he can afford it 😂

3500!! You sure it's not 350? That seems very high just for headlights.

At first I was going to get the inner black as opposed to chrome or the halo ones. 

Maybe one day il upgrade them but for the time being, I just want better lighting.

You'll find that some of the newer Focus ones are over £1000 LOL

Are the Mk2 xenons a straight swap or is the wiring different? I am not seriously thinking of fitting them, just wondering.

I have only ever seen one set for sale, and they wanted £300 for the pair.

Am I correct that the car would also need headlamp washer jets to pass an MOT?

I am sure I remember someone asking on here if you could swap from xenon to halogens. One had failed just before their MOT and they couldn't find a replacement.

Yes.that is correct. You also need headlamp washers if you have HID bulbs fitted...

forgot to take pictures of my replacement headlights:

the lenses are in very good condition, i would say like new! very happy with them 🙂 

glad you all suggested buying headlights instead as if i polished them, not sure if i could get it like this.
