Mk4 Focus reversing camera has died

Featured Replies

The reversing camera on my 2018 Mk4 Focus has died. When I select reverse the screen is almost black with a few random lines for a few seconds, then it (presumably) disconnects, goes solid black and tells me "Camera is unavailable. Please contact your dealership."

I took the tailgate interior trim off, juggled the four spring clips and got the unit out.

1. How the blinking flip do the cables disconnect?

2. Does anyone know of a plug 'n' play replacement?

TIA

Just press the child-proof release latch

Dammit, the second camera has the same problem. Time for an auto electrician?
