Mk4.5 1st service.

Featured Replies

I have a 2022 Mk4.5 1.0 that's due its 1st service in September.

I've changed the oil and filter every 6 months and I can carry out most maintenance jobs.

Problem is, the car has been remapped which has void the warranty so is there any need for a garage to do the work?

Who did the remap?

The remap could only void the engine (and possibly drivetrain) warranty.  If anything else breaks before the 3rd year ends, it would be useful to have main dealer warranty in place.

If warranty is completely void due to being a repaired write off or super high mileage, then there'd be no reason to use the Ford dealer for servicing.

Laird Performance did the remap.

Thought as much, so booked it in to keep the system updated.
