    Has this always been the case or is this a new problem ?

    Have you just got the vehicle ?

    Do the rear doors lock and unlock at the same time as the drivers door ?

    My s max is the same,smax  2012 all doors lock on remote but when I unlock car only passenger front and drivers rear will unlock,can hear the mechanism working but. Not unlocking any help would be a massive help lads

    does it sound like something is sticking? could be mechanical..oxidation..lack of lubrication.....locking generally requires less effort. Is it temperature related aka started in the winter? 

    Could also be the motor.-... are you 100% you hear the passenger back and drivers front trying to ? If no silence, then the BCM H-bridge & wiring probably ok.. ..

    either way - not enough torque to overcome the unlocking force... 

    Would have to remove the door panel to inspect .. be sure to get some spare panel retainer clips in advance
