Mk8 heated wheel fuse

Featured Replies

Hello all

Do we know if the mk8 19 plate heated wheel has its own fuse all sudden stopped working

Button lights up no heat on  wheel

F15 in the passenger compartment fusebox.

It doesn't work with low battery charge.  And may not work above a set temperature.  (Literally sweating as I type this, can't imagine needing anything heated right now lol)

Haha I don't particularly want to use it but it bugs me it doesn't work so whilst I have a few hours to play I thought I'd try figure it out.

It probably won't work at the moment even as a test.  I've just pulled this from the handbook:

HEATED STEERING WHEEL (IF EQUIPPED)

Note:   You can use the heated steering wheel only when the engine is running.

Note:   The system uses a sensor and is designed to control the temperature of the steering wheel and to prevent it from overheating.

Note:   In warm temperatures, the steering wheel quickly reaches its maximum temperature and the system reduces the current to the heating element. This could cause you to think that the system has stopped working but it has not. This is normal.
